If we knock down a few of the buildings on a couple of the worse streets, we would have room to build an enclosed colliseum type structure. This building could be made available for people who want to "settle their differences". The enclosure will protect innocent neighbors from stray gunfire. The people involved are going to shoot each other anyways so; lets just make it safer for the rest of the community.
Kids do stupid things. This is a perfect example of the "pack mentality" that happens when kids are in a group. The saddest part of all this is that the parents are apparently hiring attorneys to represent their kids in court. Kids need to learn that there are repercussions to their actions. The parents should sit quietly in court while the kids plead guilty and are sentenced to some community service. By hiring attorneys to fight the charges, the parents are condoning the actions. These kids are learning that they can do whatever they want and nothing bad will happen to them.
Why not increase the postage rate for "junk" mail. Anything other than 1st class would have a large surcharge. That will either raise revenue or reduce the impact on the environment.
Isn't it interesting how the township schedules meetings when most of the working residents are not able to attend. Even the regular meetings were moved to 5:00pm. Was this done to limit attendance?
Why are levies allowed to be put back on the next ballot after they are defeated? (Boardman Township) We need to start a grass roots movement to change Ohio law so that this cannot continue to happen.
NO MEANS NO!
I will be voting "NO" on the township levy. The residents of Boardman cannot continue to make personal cuts/sacrifices so that the township employees can contiue to enjoy payrates and benefits that are no longer available to the residents. Make them pay for dependents' health care coverage, Make them responsible for their own retirement plan. Eliminate the some of the paid personal / sick / Monday holidays. I will not vote for a levy until the public employees live in MY world.
Wellington is a power hungry ego-maniac. He has taken it upon himself to expand on / increase the state requirements governing concealed carry weapon permits in Mahoning County. Because he has gotten away with making his own laws regarding concealed carry weapon permits and now he wants to make his own law regarding possible opponants on the ballot. I'm sure that's because he knows that he could not possibly be re-elected if the people had a choice.

What percentage of pay do the laid off employees get? Is their hospitalization still paid for them?

The township needs to send out the highly compensated employees from the fire department to clear the snow away from their hydrants.

I'm sure the additional police will be used to man more checkpoints and speed traps.
I'm voting "NO".

So what is the punishment for a police officer recklessly endangering the life of a citizen by not responding properly to a call for help?
