What use to be, 'THEE' most prestigious street in Liberty Township, has now fallen to the lowlifes. When there's more of them than there are of you........it's over. So now you can bring in 'DANDY DON' from Monday Night Football, and he can sing, 'turn out the lights. the parties over'......and it is.
PS Why did this take three days to hit the newspaper???????
Isn't it REALLY nice to have all new schools with a declining enrollment. You know of course that the requirements are that you also must pass a 'maintenance levy' of 3 mils, for using the state money for construction. Hey, good luck in your 'shakedown', and oh yes, ' see ya, I wouldn't want to be ya'.
There you go again.....they BOTH wasted precious, hardworking, taxpayer dollars when instead, they could have joined the county 911 system. OK Bert, lets see your Sunday article on this one next week.
righteous and indignant.......really? Those of us who railed over the same old names on the ballot, the same old ' it's for the children' school levy baiting, WERE NOT WRONG. Yet, we take a verbal beating from this newspaper and from all those glorious folks with the 'D' after their names and/or groups. NO ONE deserves a COLA included in their pension, especially when it's paid with taxpayers dollars. I should have to adjust my budget every year to the minus so they can have theirs adjusted to the plus? You public sector blood suckers need to trade places with those whom your bleeding dry, and see how you like it.
I assume they are not going to take their perks(unpaid sick days, vacation time, etc.) at this time;just let them accumulate. So how do young people get hired and new blood in supervision? Change the composition of the school boards and get rid of 'teacher-friendly' members. Ask the boards what they 'really' did with their federal stimulus money(lot of it was used for raises)? Remember, your school is teaching to a test, so if your 'excellent'; your excellent at teaching to a test. If you let these boards steamroll all over you, then the shame is on you; the taxpayer/voter. And lastly, if you voted against SB5/issue2, then stories like this is what you supported.
"We, as residents of Poland, hold the future of the Poland Local School District in our hands. My plea to you is to vote yes for our school levy. The future starts now." No, the future starts every six months when the tax statements are mailed to your supporters; you know, taxpayers. The ones you love to hate, and hate to love depending on which side of the levy their on. "Citizens for Poland Schools"; I love the way you identify yourselves as sort of 'something special' than 'other' people of the community that pay Poland school taxes that maybe don't have either the financial resources or the willness to follow the crowd any more. Maybe their on fixed incomes, but hey, you don't care. You want it so bad, then let the "Citizens for Poland Schools" pay the bill. The 'other' taxpayers, alias citizens, won't mind at all.
