It's not about revenge or an eye for an eye...it's about justice. Why should a convicted murder get to sit in jail and have contact with their family and friends? Get to watch TV and relax? Have access to 3 meals a day and medical care? Meanwhile, there is a person mourning the loss of their loved one every single day because of the hands and hate of a convict. I haven't read up on the cost of life in jail versus the death penalty but if the dollar is the issue than raise my taxes. I'd rather death row inmates face their punishment instead of being allowed to have rights and privileges. There are consequences for actions, these death row inmates were aware of Ohio having the death sentence and still committed their crimes in hopes that they wouldn't get caught. Murder is not a victimless crime. It shouldn't be taken lightly.
Death penalty debate revived
