Quail,

I remain optimistic that this bill will and should pass, I think both sides realize this. But only with modifications, and because of this, I'm glad it was not rushed through. I'm not one for mixing Health Care Bureaucracy with Government Bureaucracy, Health care Bureaucracy is bad enough let alone the latter.

I do believe we need to reduce the cost of health care and agree with Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele's belief that insurance companies should be allowed to compete across state lines and allow the free market forces to cut costs for Americans.

Remember a few years back when Americans were buying their prescription medicine from Canadian Pharmacies at a lower cost. That's because Americans were buying prescription drugs at American market prices, not global market prices. And, the Drug Companies expect Americans to bear the brunt of Research and Development while other Countries reap the benefits of lower prescription costs and our Government backs them up due to their strong lobbies and influence.

Have a great weekend

Exactly YSUgrad, a majority of the students who recieve a college degree usually leave this area because, well, they have to. And those who don't have an education still need to work. I just don't understand why our local government doesn’t pressure big government to bring green jobs to this area first and foremost. We have the land and plenty of unemployed. Listening to business news radio there are foreign manufacturers that want to come to the US to build solar, wind, and other green products. We should be first in line for these opportunities, but some are going south. And positive growth forecast for this industry will be strong for the next ten years. Our local Government leaders should be doing everything they can to entice these companies whether foreign or not. Jobs cure crime.

Commenting foxtrot, I left a small home in Boardman, not to run from the incoming element, but for the fact that I outgrew my home, and needed to move closer to my place of work. Let me say this, I loved my home, and if you want to save your neighborhood, you need to get involved and organize with your neighbors. In my former neighborhood, the average home values were under 80k. Neighbors can combine their resources buy up homes for sale and fix them up if needed and resell to whom they feel would make a respectable neighbor. This avoids the buzzard real-estate agent who could care less who moves in the neighborhood as long as they get their commission. Also, we turned in a neighbor who was dealing crack, and the police told us while under surveillance, they were were brining in ex-felons, and sex offenders to our neighborhood. I even watched someone urinate on the side of my neighbor’s garage. If you want to stop this you have to organize plain and simple.

"All Trumbull County Fairgound ticket holders…disregard the busing charges, it is now free to the public." This was posted on the Airshow website. The Airbase is picking up the tab for parking and busing.

YSUgrad99, I'm sorry I don't feel your compassion towards MJ, but I was physically and mentally abused by my mother's boyfriend growing up for over 10 years. I still know right from wrong. Sure he was a great entertainer, but he was also a troubled self destructive soul. His issues with children didn't just happen just once, but twice and that's what we know of.

Just out! Micheal Jackson's last words to the paramedic before he died, "Take me to the children's hospital"

Youngstown is a Getto, who the hell wants to live there! People don't care for their property, kids run the streets, schools are a mess, and no decent paying jobs. Not a whole lot to offer young professionals just out of college these days.

Bottom line is Gays need to stop calling it a marriage, which is a sacred union between a man and a woman under God. If they call it a Civil Union that is one thing, which can be recognized under law and can give them the same benefits that men and women have, but not recognized under God. I can compromise with that.

Smoking and drinking go hand and hand like baseball and apple pie, and I think bar owners should be able to make that call whether their patrons should be able to smoke in their establishment. Scrooge hit the nail on head, that this is a money making scheme, and is so hypocritical in that the Government taxes the hell out of tobacco on one hand, yet will fine you for smoking in public places. Politicians should be thankful nicotine is addictive, because people would have quit a long time ago, and the whiners, will be whining again when their taxes go up. And another thing isn't slam taxing cigarettes sort of taking advantage of an individual’s dependency on nicotine sort of unethical? I believe it is. But, there is nothing more relaxing than drinking scotch whiskey, and a fine cigar. Well, maybe one other thing comes to mind.
