I knew Lamont personally and I have been a friend of his family for about 15 years. Lamont was a decent individual that loved his daughter. He had a quiet peaceful personality and I dare say that I never saw him angry or upset. He and I often discussed the myriad problematic issues that affect our great city and cause people to think negatively about Youngstown. We often discussed how he was just trying to be the best father that he could be. It is a shame that he had to succumb to the violence that is so often associated with our city.
