Every time this man put food in his mouth...and didn't feed his starving animals....he committed a continuous crime. It wasn't once: it occurred multiple times. Every time he walked by them, or looked at them...watching them die and doing nothing to help them in the way of providing sustenance...he made yet another contribution to his "continuous crime". They probably suffered for many days or weeks before they died. I hope that is how the DA sees it, too. Any shelter, humane society or rescue group would have helped in the way of providing food if they'd been asked. There was and is no acceptable excuse for what he did.
