Geologists are saying the wells are causing it. Scientists from Columbia Univ are saying the wells are causing it. And MULTIPLE studies prove that deep hydraulic drilling causes earthquakes. But since you think it's "scare mongering" by "Orwelians", well that's good enough for me. Look everyone, cordayarmont has it all figured out!
journalists are paid by the same companies they're reporting about. We're never going to get honest news until journalists are paid by independent sources. Otherwise, they'll be hurting the same companies that are signing their paychecks.
@2muchtax: I think we can hold them responsible if contaminatin occurs. I hope that the residents whose homes were damaged send the drilling company their repair bill that's for sure,
USNBOY did you say a house fell off its foundation? Wow.. I'm going to see if earthquake insurance can be added to my policy then I'm sending the bill to the drilling company.
For all of us without financial interests, it's going to be a fight to stop the misinformation and denial machine. Those who are receiving royalties and the oil and gas companies themselves are going to do anything they can to keep the drilling going.
The Columbia University scientists have concluded that based on the depth of the earthquakes that the well is likely to blame. For all you deniers, suck on that. You're probably collecting money and will do anything to keep the checks coming even if it means harming your fellow Youngstown area neighbors. Shame on you!
I live in Girard and everyone of my neighbors came out into the street ready to get their guns and storm down to that well site. I have never seen such a group of angry people.
Our TV almost fell over and a leaf to my dining room table fell and cracked. Pictures shaking, and that boom caused all of my children to start crying in fright. This is nuts.
There will be home damage from this one just like the one in August and I hope a class action is started. Nowhere in our constution nor our state or local laws does it say that corporations can cause earthquakes and not be responsible for the damages. Although there doesn't appear to be any damage to my home, I will march with those whose homes were damaged to make sure that their homes were fixed.
