Youngstown Pride sponsors first street fair downtown

This subject sure caused a stir!! There was a street fair and people had a good time, yes alot of them were gay. I didn't read or see anything about assaults, arrests, riots, people having sex...etc...it was a street fair! That's it! What people do in their own bedrooms is their own business whether they are straight or gay. If God wants to send me to hell for supporting my 1 and only daughter who I love more than life...well hand me my pitchfork now! I will support my daughter til I take my last breath!!

The guy from Sandy Lake is not my son,or I would support him.I might not agree with his sexual preference but would still love him unconditionally.

As a parent I support my daughter in any way I can.I love my daughter unconditionally and that would be whether she's gay or straight. She is not killing anyone, cheating on anyone, molesting anyone,etc... my daughter would never say someone was abnormal because of the choices they make. Each person is an individual capable of living their life the way they want to,and not everyone would agree/approve of certain lifestyles no matter what they would be.

wow ... looks like Youngstown Pride was a huge success by looking at everyones' comments! My daughter was there and alot of her friends were also. She said it was great! About the comments about christianity, gay people also believe in God,and since He loves ALL of us,that puts them right up there with the "normal" people! We are taught to love one another...I have to say that my daughters' friends are the most caring, kind, loving, respectful people I have met in a long time! Guess what... they go to church, they have jobs, they attend college, they have families, they have tons of friends and not all of them are gay, they live as normal lives as the rest of us.And they don't tell "normal" people that they are living wrong so why should people tell THEM that?? I hope the celebration will be bigger and better next year, and hope I can attend! And if the bubble wrap helped lose weight...I'll be the big fat straight lady covered in bubble wrap at next years event!!
