Bowling Green State plans to slash 100 faculty positions

Dogman...U realize that a tenured Prof at State Univ. can retire at 50 with a six figure pension? Teaching 2 classes a day for four days a week...Of course what would a guy who spent most of his time on Sat in the O-zone and the other days at Filthy mcnastys,,,And just say something bout my mother.. Go ahead... And bet my wife would kick ur butt.. She weighs a buck fifteen

Bowling Green State plans to slash 100 faculty positions

Dogman Probably didnt go to college and bettin if his kids will or did, it will be on taxpayers dime..The cost of secondary education keeps rising at three times inflation.. Something has to be done... A couple years back our newly recrowned King suggested that college profs teach 3 classes instead of two to save some dough.. Good suggestion but quickly lost its steam since college profs were his voting kinda folks..

Republican anger festering in the wounded, divided party

The article is the truth,But that being said, I cant believe anyone can object to the Tea party's basic platform of Personally responsibility and Govt. fiscal responsibility.. Many wakjobs in the Tea Party and the other parties for that matter as well....
And the Obama second term agenda being outlined as Immigration and gun control is the ultimate of kicking the can down the road.. Our largest problems are the DEBT and ENTITLEMENTS and anyone that cant see that, has their head in the sand....

Youngstown's boxing, steel intertwined

Nice article .. I worked out in Emil Tanners basement in the winter of 71 and at an armory near Mooney high school in 72. Too soft a chin to make it to the Struthers Field House but had a great time watching my fellow stablemates compete there in the Golden Gloves.. Life lessons were learned..
I agree with Jackie on the differences in todays youth compared with the past and this is in no way a dig on Jack but,,,Emil Tanner spent a great deal of his time with youth because of his love for humanity and the sport itself...Those days in his gym didnt cost a dime.. And good thing too.. I didnt have a dime...

President gave in too easily

Obama definitely got the better deal in first quarter of this political football game.. He got some of what he wanted without giving an inch on entitlements or the debt.. Heck, he was given the go-ahead with printing up some more money for unemployment and pork such as wind farm credits...The reason John B. and Mitch M. gave in to this was that they think they will have more leverage in two months when the negotiations begin again.... And so what does the liberal propaganda machine say now... We didnt get much in the first quarter, were disapointed... It is their goal now to reduce the leverage gained going forward..

Do you believe Youngstown officials will expand traffic cameras to parts of the city besides school zones?

Yes, The program will expand if it makes money.. Here is how it works.. A private company offers to front all costs.. Installs cameras, monitors cameras and sends out the tickets.. Govt does nothing but collect their share..Usually bout 40% or so...What a deal for Govt..... Money for nothing and the chicks for free... So what do u call this newfound dough... A fine,, a fee or a tax? I call it a tax.. And if someday the State Supreme court says its unconstitutional, cities like Ytown will say.. How do u expect us to pay for the FOP pension fund now, and a new 78 mill levy will be on the next ballot...

Thats about as asinine an inference as ive ever seen in print..So how bout this one..As of Sept, 96% of murders in NYC were of Black folks. And 97% of those shooters were black.. So, what party do those nut jobs usually side with? And further, There have been 3 times as many murders in Chitown just this year than in the tragedies in OKC,AZ and Newtown combined.. And what party do you think those nutjobs side with?
