For governor: Ted Strickland

Still waiting for jobs created by those Bush tax cuts... 8 year..10 years.. gee.. maybe it doesn't trickle down???

Let's do the same even bigger until we are all in poverty and no consumers left to buy.
Guess the wealthy will need to provide services and goods for themselves because they are the only ones left with money.

For governor: Ted Strickland

Oh if they could have looked into the future they would see the wisdom of this choice! This is why I am canceling The Tribune and subscribing to this paper!!! Thanks!

Gov.: Youngstown is 'in my blood.'

NO, he did not!
DID Kasich JUST SAY THAT YOUNGSTOWN WAS IN HIS BLOOD?

THIS IS LAUGHABLE! HE COULDN'T BE FURTHER AWAY FROM THE PEOPLE'S VIEWS HERE. Or our character!

MAYBE HE MEANT "I WANT THEIR BLOOD."
BECAUSE ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

Ryan in danger of losing seat on appropriations committee

You hateful people would love watching our state and valley go bust just so you can badmouth people.

There is not any thoughtful conversation or facts just jibberish.

You should want the Valley to do well and committees are an important part of that goal.

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan appointed to House Budget Committee

Nice going Republicans. Now we probably no longer have someone from our district on an important committee. Who's going to help us? Kasich? The same guy that sent back millions that could have created jobs in Cleveland because he doesn't like Obama? He doesn't like the valley either. We didn't vote for him. Southern Ohio will get the help.

PS Hope none of you have to change jobs with preexisting conditions. You might have to take advantage of the new health care.

Chamber gets mixed reaction for backing SB 5

Chamber. Why can't you work on creating local business instead of playing Tea Party Politics and dividing people?
We need you to create local business! Not support the NATIONAL Chamber Agenda Politics that DO NOT benefit the valleys best interests or help create any local business!
Are you going to turn away even business owners if they lean Democratic or have different view points???? Or their money? Are you crazy! Jobs are jobs. Make jobs don't kill them. The public wants you to work together !!!!!

Kasich wants to be King, divide and cause chaos!! Work together!!!!
Hasn't anyone get that message yet???????

Canfield levy must pass to avoid more cuts

BUT does anyone ever bother to check what is really happening?
Kasich is cutting state funding to ALL Ohio schools! He has been very open about that.
It doesn't matter if you had a balanced budget, you won't after his cuts. It doesn't matter if you squeeze all you can out of Ohio teachers. It will not cover the hole left by Kasich's cuts. Schools already are taking these cuts into account when planning.
It is your right to not want to spend money on kids and education but get the facts where this hardship is coming from. There will be many more schools in Ohio with levies and layoffs.
I happen to think Ohio is cutting and investing in the wrong places! Kids are our future.

Ryan: U.S. Chamber misleads voters

See what Tea Party Type Republicans' goals are ... to divide us.
That will really get local business going here in the valley. We have had many Republican Governors and none were mean-spirited like Kasich.
I have a hunch he doesn't care about our local communities. He just wants to demonize and break anyone who will vote for Obama even if he has throw Ohioans "under a bus" as Kasich put it. Who cares if it is your local Democratic businessman, an Ohio firefigher, a neighborhood park ranger, or your kid's classroom teacher. Just as long as Kasich is happy.
Ryan will win because the valley knows he's looking out for the local people despite what outsiders paying for ads are trying to say.
