Youngstown school board adds two administrators

Once again, leave it to YCS to hire shady people! Add to the drama and hire more admins and people at the board to fix the chaos that has built up because of just that.

Youngstown City schools add two new administrators

All that I have to say to these two is have fun! There is not enough money in this world to pay me to deal with YCS. I'm anticipating that they quit half way through the school year.

Use-it-or-lose-it provision necessary for public sector

We need to look at other reasons as to why our state is in debt.
Then, to use these 3 examples is just absurd.
I know! Let's just ruin it for all public employees!

Facebook remark wasn’t racist, Hagan says

Whether the comment is racist or not, the conduct of which Hagan involved himself.....chatting on Facebook, and speaking to citizens in the manner that he did is very unprofessional for an elected representative. I don't believe that he really cares about what he says or who he says it to.

District’s academic consultant suspended

Leave it to YCS to spend $405,000 on a company with a failing record, that specializes in charter schools to come in and attempt to turn things around. Any idiot with half a brain would know that Hudson's interest in positions in the district created a conflict of interest with the principals that he was working with. The very nature of such action is highly unethical. How long was this kept secret before he was suspended by the ODE? This is as corrupt as is gets. It sounds like someone is in cahoots here.

Youngstown schools’ leadership scrutinized in study

This doesn't sound like this is going to help the district get out of the "academic emergency" status.
