Missing teenager’s body found

OK... LOL/ Cops Wife... I respect the way you feel and make NO mistake... there are some cops that do their job. But for every 10... there are 2 that half ass it... They are just as involved in this street corruption as these kids... I know a couple and so does other people that live in the "High Crime " neighborhood. And it's not just Youngstown...it's every city. It's your city....Take pride you should..but do not disregard the fact that someone's child was left to rot with no attempt from the YPD to help.

I visit my family there BRIEFLY 3 times a year. Which is sad because I love it there but with no jobs, few community programs, homes and even schools and churches boarded up all around you , tell me ....is it REALLY hard for a young ,influential, inner -city black child to make a "Wrong Decision"? NEWSFLASH.... All children do it... It doesnt matter the social status, race or what neighborhood they live in. You just heard about this child because his parents couldn't fix it and he lost his life behind his bad decision. This child is not even old enough to be branded a killer..... He had no prior record... but I'm sure he saw very little opportunity and decided to make his own. I'm not excusing it..I feel bad for all the families involved. Particularly April because she had to see her child like out like trash..That is too much for any mother to bear. She wasn't implicated in a crime so she and her family should at least be shown SOME respect.

I left Youngstown over 20 years ago. I came from a 2 parent household, both of my parents had great incomes, I attended the Parochial School System my whole life...It could have been me.. I had outside influences that caused me to make some mistakes. No it wasn't murder or robbery but "Wrong is Wrong... whatever level. I come back and look see some of my friends....who had the same social status, different ethnic backgrounds caught up in that society. (If they are not an unsolved murder case) All I am saying is not just the police but the CITY OF YOUNGSTOWN should take some accountability instead of giving welfare recipients money to move away in from a city that generates no revenue and make it a safer city for ALL ... Even the poor and underprivileged . Think about it.....

No one is trying to make YPD responsible for this child's death.... how he got killed... the decisions or events that lead to this or any of the other crap people are babbling about....

YPD IS responsible for ALL crimes reported... No matter color, character, or content. That's what my hard earned tax dollars pay for... Bottom line... He was reported missing on Sunday night..5 days was plenty of time for at least 2 detectives to investigate... They did NOTHING!!!! Say what you want about me, this family, and or the media, crime in Youngstown.... all of that... YPD dropped the ball.... Final answer..... And as a parent I would be terrified if this is where my help comes from..... God Bless you all.

FYI Geomar... This kid is not a hoodlum.... Do you even know him???? His family or anything about his up bringing??? Did you worship in church with he and his mom??? And yes my family members DID assist on doing the job of the YPD and they found him.... Not thousands of people but... a group of 20.. I'm not as immature as you making this an racial issue, I make it a moral issue.... I am gainfully employed.... making over 70k a year(Yes ....blacks from Youngstown get educated and move on) How dare you make that comment when all you read is an article in the paper.... Maybe YOU need the life..... I hope ur kid never comes up missing... Ignorance is what's killing Youngstown.. No you might not be "Hooded Out" But u are definitely part of the problem. Education ...not criticism. Again... The unemployed lazy people you speak of completed the job that my as well as your tax dollars pay salaries for.... while they park their patrol cars and blow off 6 of 8 hrs... Not speculation... something I have actually seen. And you make excuses for them not to do what they are PAID to do... Instead of bashing this family(U don't know...) Maybe you should start worrying about the protection or lack there of of your own... No matter the color or their social standings.... While I pray for this family's loss of a CHILD.. I will send out a special prayer for you as well.... God knows u need it!!!!

I have know this childs' mother since we were children. Her parenting is not in question. I know this for a fact. This is an example of how the YPD makes it easy for criminals to do crimes such as these. The criminals can count on their laziness and no regard for protecting the community assuming ALL minorities are involved in some type of mischief when they loose their lives. Do you know how many bodies have been found in that area of town??? My grandmother lived out there, A LOT are not even getting news coverage. The bottom line is this mother had to find her OWN son's body.... It's not enough they failed to PROTECT ..... They wouldn't even SERVE the needs of that mother...... My prayers go out to April.....No mother deserves to go through that. But you put out world coverage of a child who was allegedly killed by her mom?????? Something is definitely wrong with that........
