First, the Canfield Fair charged $7.00 last year to attend the Fair not 6.00. It only went up a dollar this year to $8.00. Further I agree with CharmCitySaint, people pay over a 100.00 for concert tickets then go to Cleveland and pay 20.00 to park and spend more money. The $8.00 keeps the riff raff out, go to these other Fairs that don't charge and tell me how that works out for you. The Canfield Fair is the best Fair around. The country music is awesome !! They are doing everything right not wrong like all you people on here downing the Fair. Why such negative comments. Fairgoer for Life !! A lot of fairgoers will continue to go !!

Totally agree with big wheel !! Teachers have to have a Bachelors degree then in four years a masters degree - who pays for all this - the teachers do !! People need to go sit in a class room for a day and realize that a teacher deserves every penny he or she makes !!

Senate Bill 5 is not good for the taxpayer !!!! Public employees do not all make high salaries and the benefits being cut are going to mean that low salaries are going to go even lower with all the money this senate bill 5 is going to take from the public employee. So glad the Levy passed now we don't have to worry about the school closing. I too have a pay freeze, gas is up, health insurance costs are up but you got to do what you have to do. I cannot believe that 60 homes in McDonald are on the brink of foreclosure - that surprises me. Well, since the levy passed more homes can now be sold in McDonald. Also, we could not of waited to November to pass this levy, we would of lost open enrollment which brings in One million dollars to McDonald - who would of wanted to go to a school with no sports. Anyways all worries of the school at this time are over and we can move on - HIP HIP HORRAY !! :)

Just vote for the McDonald School Levy - it is simple. Do you want extra activities for your children, sports and etc, busing, academics, your house to sell, do you want a community. Without the levy this is all going to go away. The doors will shut at 4:00 pm - no sports - Nothing !! Do you want to live in a ghost town and better yet you will still pay as now you will have to pay to send your child some where else no matter if it is a public or private school as someone has to make up the 1800 dollars - the state only pays 4000.00 for open enrollment - McDonald has to pay the 1800 per child and it will not have the money. If you don't want to pass the levy - move out !!

Okay, Mr. Kasich, you need to go on the Bob Evans website and see what the benefits of a waitress are at Bob Evans. This waitress gets Christmas bonuses, vacation, holiday pay, 1/2 price food, 401 K, and so on and so on. The public employee does NOT receive Christmas bonuses nor do we half price lunch when we are working. Do your homework Mr. Kasich, you need to check out the public employee salary!!

I 100 percent totally disagree with your article. I am really thinking of canceling my subscription. Jim Tressel put Youngstown on the map - Youngstown only wants to be known for crime, corrupt and negativity. Jim Tressel is a well respected man and is still a well respected man. He made a mistake and you crucify the guy. This man did not launder money. The rule that the players cannot sell their stuff should be done away with anyways. The stuff was given to them, let them do with it whatever they want. You people are rude and this is the reason that I never let people know that I live near Youngstown Ohio. Articles like this ruin our area. Give the man a break.
