To Appllo, do you have any doubt, that if the Big 3 fail, that all those companies you talk about would not move their operations back to their home countries? That is what happened to the TV and various other industries. The home governments would help their companies by giving them subsidies to sell below cost, while building here. As soon as they ran the American companies out of business, they packed up and went back home. A country that manufactures nothing will forever be in debt. Why do you think we owe China over a trillion dollars in debt?
Two things if the big three should fail. Number one, the millions of jobs lost will likely push this great country of ours into a depression. Number two, God forbid, we must go to war, who will build our arms, the Chinese? While I realize the big three have made many mistakes, I can not believe that people are proud to run down American companies. We must be the only country in the world that does not support our industrial base. Every other country in the world must laugh at how stupid the Americans are in their self hating. China just recently stopped taking autos from Korea to protect their market. Why don't we do the same?
