Michael shot him not once but multiple times. That is not self defense, thats shooting to kill. He lead him into a driveway that wasn't his, carried a gun, and took his phone and threw it so he couldn't call for help. The only one who was scared in this situation was Danny.

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that Michael robbed the life of a very young man who was loved dearly by many, for absolutely no reason. Danny wouldn't and couldn't hurt a fly! He never carried a weapon or got in physical fights or was threatening in ANY way to anyone. My friend is gone forever and I won't be able to see him again. Michael deserves to be punished to the full extent. The murder rate is too high around here, therefore if he isn't punished to the extreme then the courts would be setting the example that you can get away with shooting someone multiple times in the chest and leaving him alone to die.

This was a one time incident. She has no past track record of this. Accidents happened and it was a miracle no one was injured. God was truly watching over.. She without a doubt made a big mistake, but she has and will continue to truly learn from it. Our issues are our own issues, and i'm sure you have your own, and everyone else as well. But this was blown out of proportion, and dragging other family members into this was expected but irrelevant to the situation.

I happen to be the daughter of Judge John Durkin and Monica Durkin. I'm not surprised by this article in the least bit due to the fact that I know how this nosy town loves to know everything. But if any of you know my mother personally, you know that she is an amazing person with a huge heart. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES. There is no getting past that. It just so happens that because of my father's position that this has to turn into a media frenzy. It is cruel and unfair to the family members. And it is disrespectful to throw my father's name into this after all he has done for the people and for the Mahoning County Courts. I grew up watching my dad in court and hearing so many people tell me how thankful they were for my dad in the courtroom. Needless to say i am unsubscribing to the Vindicator due to the heartlessness and carelessness of those who are affected by this.
