Boboberg, Are you kidding me? Legalize Heroin? It's a very addictive drug that has ruined many lives. Junkies will do any thing to get their next fix. It's the traffickers that need to be put in jail and in Mahoning Co we need better rehab for those that are addicted.
I want to start by saying that I know nothing about the case in this story nor do I know the individuals involved. I can only assume it was drug related. I found no help for those addicted to drugs in Mahoning Co. My family had been trying to get help for a family member and at every turn was told nothing was available for those with no money. Most of our time was spent waiting for phone calls that were never returned or waiting at a facility for hours and then being told help was not available. We were finally able to get treatment in another county and after nearly a year clean and a job my family member was still sent to prison. I understand a punishment is warrented but it needs to be a reasonable sentence. I can only pray that this last year of sobriety has been enough to carry them through and all the hard work they did will stay with them.
Franken must be showing the voters that ousted him that they'll regret it. He's been very heavy handled with his sentences. Individuals need to be punished for their crimes but he's out of control here. Check his sentences with other Judges.
This young woman should be very greatful for the sentence she recieved. I don't understand the "Justice" system. It seems to me that the Judges don't use any rhyme or reason for sentencing. I know there are guidelines but 2 years for altering a man's life while others get much more for a crime that didn't have nearly the impact on a family or community. It just doesn't make sence to me.

If they were speeding and broke the law then they should pay the fines. What difference does it make if "they didn't know the camera's were there"
