I have been experiencing this for some time now. It does exist and it is not a recent development. I understand that in some cases it is justified to look for someone younger, but an employer would be wise to choose someone closer to retirement and with the appropriate experience to step right in and get the work accomplished. It is just a 'win - win' situation. I do not want their job, I just want a job that will demonstrate the abilities that I have accrued over the years. At this point, it can be darn near anything! Can a fresh college grad say that?
