Did you read the headline and accompanying story? Do you think the headline matches the story that follows?
Yes i read the article and the headline. I actually read it a couple times to make sure I didn't miss anything. I even asked a couple co-workers to read it to make sure I didn't miss anything.
The headline says narrow-ED, as in past tense, as in the results were already in and we could expect to find said results in the article. Not 'to be narrowed', 'will be narrowed' or anything else.
It could have easily said 'YSU to announce Presidential finalists today' or 'Finalists for YSU Presidency to be announced today'. Those would have made much more sense. They seem to imply that an announcement is coming.
Would you post a headline that said 'Indians game final!' followed by an article that had a preview of the game that would start at 7pm? Or 'Browns draft QB Weeden' hours before the draft? 'Dewey defeats Truman' hours before the election?
Probably not. But what do I know. I could be wrong. Just thought I'd point out what we thought was an error in wording. Your the journalist. We're just the readers making some comments.
