It's not just Youngstown, it's anywhere you go. My husband drives to and from Cleveland everyday to work, and the prices are even higher there at times. It's not right and I don't understand it, but that's the way it is everywhere.
You are innocent until proven guilty, but as parents the first thing on the agenda would be to establish if he did it, hopefully you have open communication with your son and he will open up to you. I would then tell him if he did it, that he now needs to man up and do the right thing and not let this poor family suffer anymore than they have already.and if as parents you are just encouraging this behavior by threatening witnesses, then I am sorry, but you also need to be punished under the statutes of the law. what a shame!!!
I do believe that we have big problems in our community that need to be addressed, but we cannot forget about the many victims that have no voice. it is absolutely appalling the torture and abuse that many of these dogs, cats and other animals go through at at the hands of people that don't think that they have feelings or feel pain. watch animal cops and animal precinct on Animal Planet some time, and get a first hand glimpse of what some of these animals suffer. yes, we do need to take care of the home invasions and robberies and the serious drug problem in our community, but lets not forget about the animals, as they are a part of our community also.
