@unionshateAmerica, do not talk about how YSU students and parents feel. I am a YSU student, and I do not appreciate an uneducated, babbling, idiot putting words in my mouth. Yeah my tuition went up but I will invest whatever I need to, in order to further my education. Something you probably know nothing about! Unions are the voice of hardworking Americans when the egotistical big shots try to act like dictators. Get your facts straight before you try to speak for an entire group of people that you know NOTHING about!

This is digusting to read! Just a bunch of rediculous comments from uneducated, fairness hating, idiots who want their 15 minutes of fame on vindy.com! Get a grip and get some facts straight! Publicity stunt? I can gurantee not. No one is going to be happy about a 5k-10k pay cut, but the professors are willing to take it just to have a job. They aren't doing to get into the public eye and have people feel pity for them. They are real hard working Americans, just like you and I, well like me at least, I don't know about @unionshateamerica, because you sound like uneducated scum.

I agree with your comment completely. It would make the area some money and keep the roads safer for everyone else. They won't do that though, because people would stop drinking in bars if they knew there was a cop right outside waiting to pull them over. I think their more interested in keeping these bars open and thriving than making everything safer.

Reading these comments is seriously sickening. Not one of us were there that night, which means none of us know what really happened. You can be pissed all you want, but saying that this young man should have been killed is seriously crossing the line. No one deserves to die, and the people saying this are inhumane. I won't speak on whether or not Timmings is guily because I, just like all of you, was not there to witness it.
But I have done a lot of research on this case because I, unlike most of you, like to be educated on the facts before I speak on a situation. He is not some uneducated thug. He is a white man who graduated from Lowellville High School and did very well there. He is now attending YSU to make a better future for himself. He is not on welfare, and he's not taking any money out of the taxpayers pockets. So stop all your bitching about that.
Kids are going to be kids. If they can get away with drinking somewhere, then they will. Blame the establishments that serve underage. I am a college student and I know of wayyy too many places in the area that serve underage. Kids are going to do whatever they are able to get away with. I would never say this incident is justified because Timmings was drunk. Either way he needs to claim responsibility for his actions, whatever those may have been. But I can almost guarentee that this would not have happened if he was sober. And everyone wants to talk about money; underage drinking is what makes bars in this area thrive. They will never stop serving underage, reguardless of the consequences because it is there biggest money maker. Sad Fact.
Like I said, I was not there, so I will never comment on who was at fault in this situation. But I have been around long enough to know that there are three sides to every story. And sometimes we never know the total truth. Not all young adults in youngstown are thugs and hood rats. And not all police officers are respectable human beings. Please keep that in mind before you share your opinion on this matter, And please do not make anymore snide remarks about how you believe this young man should have just been killed. He has a family too and I'm sure they thank God everyday that he survived this event. It is not up to you people to say who should die and who should live; that is only up to God himself.
