Why hadn't the servers been deployed in a redundant pair? I can't possibly see how the township legitimately manages all of their electronic operations from a series of servers without any cold or hot backup plan. That kind of failure wouldn't happen if things were being handled properly.
A reelection doesn't matter for them. Nobody who runs against these guys ever puts any effort into calling them out on their mistakes.
It's the same old story as last year, because even if someone did, the incumbents will do like ol' Wellington in the sheriff's race and have the competition kicked off the ballot when they challenge his easy reelection. Randall made it clear last year: elections are not for competition, they're for making sure you don't lose your nice, cushy job to someone who wants to do something like reduce crime or keep the Mahoning County Jail from reaching capacity. And how can you blame Wellington for taking the risk of not being reelected into his own retirement position? Must be nice to get paid full-time all year while your deputies are taking cuts to less than $20,000/year just to keep their jobs, and your only responsibility is handing out "buckle-up" stickers at the Canfield Fair for a week every year.
@danielsdad I fear it too. I don't think anyone realizes all the things wrong with this proposal. There are too many people out there who are voting for this for the wrong reason. It's not about the jobs, the casinos, or the money. It's about protecting the Ohio Constitution from misuse. It's a framework for a government, not meant to be laden with detailed specifics that enforce a gambling monopoly and prevent local governments from enforcing their laws on casino property. It's quite scary, honestly.
This is ridiculous. The state and local governments are just trying to take away our rights and everybody is in favor of it. If you honestly believe a law like this should be on the books then you should propose laws that ban eating, smoking, drinking any liquids, reading, and all of the other things mentioned above because they are no different than using any "mobile communications device." Or alternatively, you can pass the guy weaving in his lane and move on with your life. The problem isn't people using their phones while driving, the problem is people who say to the government "take away my rights and punish me for the actions of other people," because that's exactly what you're saying if you support any of these proposed laws.
Why would they want to buy water from Aqua Ohio when the Meander Creek Reservoir is right there? There's no reason this water district couldn't buy water from the MVSD like Youngstown, Niles, and McDonald do.
Back when they were calling it Cafaro Field that's where it was... I thought they moved it to the mall parking lot just a few years ago? Anyway, regardless, they used to get better music. I was there to see The Spin Doctors a few years ago, and twice to see the Gin Blossoms. Since 2005, when they were last there, there haven't been any acts there worth seeing.

They must not want the community to know who the buyer is because the buyer must be planning to close Northside.

It's sad this is what it takes to get an incumbent out of office. I still don't understand why he hadn't been voted out years ago.

Who is Kathy Mock and why does everyone have her signs?
Regardless, I hope everyone made at least one of their votes for Klein '09.

"God" should be capitalized, even in quote.
