Betras is lucky he didn't get charged! He hasitly turned back 25,000.00 in fees he received from Dann when the news hit. Why would he get fees from Dann and be his treasurer also? Conflict somewhere here. And who believes that when Betras wrote that check to Guitterez for 5,000.00 that a bell didn't go off because Guitterez already worked for Dann and should not have been given any other money? Betras got all kind of money through Dann. How about his law partner Harshman receiving 50,000.00. Does anyone believe that Betras didn't get some of that money as Harshman was a partner in his firm? Another conflict. Why wasn't Betras charged??????? We need an investigation into that one!
All of these dogs were TIED in their backyards. One dog was left alone for the week-end with someone just coming to check on the dog. Who leaves their dog tied alone in the yard, no way to defend themself and in the hot weather? People do not know how to protect their pets. These dogs were left alone to be poisoned!
Great article and so right on! As a former public worker with a daughter who now works in public employment, I know firsthand that there has to be limits on these union contracts! No one has the money for pie in the sky benefits for public workers! We all have to take the hit. Unions keep saying they are making concessions but the concessions aren't enough. Police, fire and teachers should get good pay. They do! They should have the right to negotiate their wages. They do! But the luxury benefit plans have to stop. Remember, when we public workers retire under PERS, you don't get a better retirement plan. That should be taken into account.

Owners suspect poisoning in deaths of 3 dogs in Campbell
All of these dogs were TIED in their backyards. One dog was left alone for the week-end with someone just coming to check on the dog. Who leaves their dog tied alone in the yard, no way to defend themself and in the hot weather? People do not know how to protect their pets. These dogs were left alone to be poisoned!
