STARVING for JUSTICE

Unfortunately, there are flaws in the criminal justice system, HOWEVER that is not an excuse to stop striving for true justice. This case isn't just about animal cruelity. People whom abuse animals abuse people. It is a proven fact, not to mention that Croley has proven his lack of respect for the courts and civil laws. He should go back to jail AND NEVER BE ALLOWED TO GO NEAR ANOTHER ANIMAL AGAIN.

LOUIE FRIDAY: Editor Todd, dog killer Steve Croley and Nitro's law debacle,

Maybe Ohio lawmakers will finally pass a felony animal law. They are one of the last states in the country and have been stalling for years. It's time for them to 'man up'.

NITRO'S LAW: Former kennel owner arrested

I understand the legal system and animal control as well. I understand, albeit do not agree, with why some of the decisions have and were made. I do think that Croley has shown a blantant disregard for the legal system and the state and local laws. Three years of not owning a dog was all he had to do to complete his sentence. I think he got off too lightly across the board, but three years of not owning a pet is all he had to do. Not only did he own three dogs, he refused to register them in an attempt to thawt the law. I deffinately think there should have been a bond and I also think he should serve the maximum time for his probation violation as possible and NEVER be allowed to own animals again. He poor me routine is old and untrue. Most of his boarders paid IN ADVANCE and brought their own food and even if they hadn't he could have called them to pick up their dogs. I mean, who feeds and boards OTHER people's dogs for free ESPECIALLY if they are going through a supposedly bad finacial time. He is a narcissist with NO REGARD TO LIFE. He should be required to FULLY comply with the consequences of his actions particularly considering how pathetic his punishment.

UPDATE: Croley of Nitro's Law notoriety nabbed on probation violation

I'm glad they arrested him, but I'm curious as to the severativty of the penalties. I'm sure they are very weak. The laws need to be stiffer.

Valley residents rally for stalled Nitro’s Law in Columbus

Once again, PEOPLE WHO ABUSE ANIMALS ABUSE PEOPLE. IT's a statistical fact. Nitro's law would help identify those people earlier. This law is a win/win situation. The animals win and innocent humans win. There are many cases on file that when ACO went in to check on the animals Child Protective Services have been immediately called to remove a child from a dangerous situation. It's a no brainer for both Republicans and Democrats.

Supporters of Nitro’s Law plan rally

IT'S VERY SIMPLE. THIS LAW NEEDS TO BE PASSED BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO ABUSE ANIMALS ABUSE PEOPLE. THAT PERSON COULD BE YOUR CHILD, SPOUSE, SISTER, OR GRANDPARENT. THIS LAW WOULD HELP IDENTIFY ABUSERS EARLY ON AND INCREASE THEIR PENALTIES!! PLEASE HELP PROTECT ANIMALS AND PEOPLE BY SUPPORTING NITRO'S LAW AND CONTACTING YOUR REPRESENTATIVES!!

NITRO'S FLAW - If Only Nitro Was A Racetrack...

Politics are complicated. They fascinate me and frustrate me at the same time. I'm saddened by the fact the lawmakers keep postponing the 'language' changes in Nitro's Law. This should have been worked out by now. I don't understand how even a red, farm bureau run state, can not see the simplicity and need in this law. I do know one fact, eventually Ohio will have to step up; no state wants to be the last to follow everyone else. It's embarrassing.

All but five states have tougher animal abuse laws than Ohio

This law is a very important step into bring Ohio up to Minimum standards across the country for animal abuse. Ohio is ranked very poorly and when animal laws are weak so are child abuse laws.

‘Nitro’s Law’ calls for stiffer penalties for animal abuse

Law makers think that the voters don't care about animal rights but they do. The organizers of Ohio Companion Day had to turn away over 200 people because of space limitations!!! And look how much money is dumped in the charities. I don't love HSUS, but I think their working budget is over 100 million dollars per year!! ALL FROM DONATIONS WRITEN BY VOTERS!! AND LETS NOT FORGET. PEOPLE WHO ABUSE ANIMALS ABUSE HUMANS.

Owner of dog starved by kennel urges lawmakers to stiffen penalties

People who abuse aniamls abuse humans. People are no longer taught respect for any type of life. The laws need to catch up quickly!!!
