Say what you want about Betras... he keeps me entertained.
I can't stop laughing the moment he opens his mouth.
Please..keep those cameras rolling!

Look...no one is asking Judge Dellick to "dump" her son. To "kick him" out. To stop loving him and trying to protect him. That's what mothers do. Unconditionally.
But to send out a news release proclaiming his innocence, when she was aware of at least four extremely serious prior and very recent incidents, that is unconscionable.
Actually, it's beyond comprehension.
And one can only conclude that it was done to protect her political career and not her son.
And that makes a very sad story tragic.

So a "soccer mom" blatantly ignores her son's serious issues, and his history of road rage attacks, and indefensibly attempts to defend him, all for the sake of her political career, while causing an A6 story to be driven to the front page, and you want to blame the press for doing their job?
Wow. What planet do you live on?

Look...let's just hope this kid gets the obvious help he needs before something tragic happens. You're right, had the Judge not opened her mouth, it would have been A6. But the fact that she so stupidly did, perhaps is a good thing. It might finally get the parents to seek treatment for their son.
What continues to bother me the most is that the Judge's original statement was clearly crafted to protect her political life and not for her son's well being. Therein lies the reason this kid is still on the road.

Wow! With these two prior incidents, which the judge obviously is completely aware of, her public statement in this most recent case is more than troubling. It's reprehensible. She has a very troubled son. Perhaps she should be dealing with that, instead of making self serving public comments that now only appear to be an attempt to save her political standing. Sad, very sad.

And stop being an apologist for a little punk who thinks he can toss his liter any where he pleases, yell racial slurs, smash his car into someone else, and refuse to cooperate with a police officer...all because his mommy is a judge. C'mon are you serious? If I had had done just one of those things, my old man would have grounded me for life, taken my driving privileges away for ever, and made me sit in jail until the hearing. And when I finally got home, and after he was done whipping my butt, I would be making a public apology to all involved.

I would be impressed had Judge Dellick said this as her one and only public comment: "As a sitting Judge, as a sworn officer of the court, I have complete faith in the fairness and impartiality of our legal system and am fully confident that my son will be judged accordingly. Should he be found guilty, he will accept his sentence."
And what about the fact that her son was "uncooperative" with the police and hand to be handcuffed and arrested. You never get arrested for a minor traffic incident. Never. And uncooperative with the police? Funny, she didn't have a comment on that.

The next time you feel so compelled to cast your stone of righteous indignation, remember this....
There, but for the Grace of God, go I.
