Just close them down with the exception of a skeleton staff to allow computer access to people without a computer. Nobody uses libraries anymore anyway.
We hire with 2 requirements. A high school education and a passed drug test. You would be amazed at how restrictive that is in hiring. I would estimate that approx. 80% of our "off-the-street applicants fail at least one of these. Many fail both. We have all these esoteric training programs and over half the kids in Youngstown and Warren don't even bother to finish high school. If you don’t care enough about yourself to finish at least high school, then why would I hire you? And that doesn't even touch the drug issue. Manufacturing can be dangerous. If you aren't sober, you are a menace to yourself and others.
What happens when the Mayor and a couple key councilpersons have family working at GM and wage a similar campaign against Ford dealers? What's wrong in Warren has nothing to do with these businesses. How many police calls to break up fights come from them? I could pick 10 bars where the number would be in the hundreds!! DON'T try to legislate morals, you are completely unqualified!
When a relationship works as effectively as this one, it's hard to tell who does what for whom, but I suspect Michael would have missed about 70% of his scheduled appointments without Roselyn! I strongly second the "Run against Timmy" thought, (as long as Roselyn agrees to continue to assist!)
I understand there are blind parents raising children, and I have great empathy towards them and the extra efforts required, but that is a very small minority of parents. The other ones SHOULDN'T NEED TO BE TOLD! Open your EYES!!
UnionForever, what's the matter with you? Aren't you a true American? There isn't a problem on the planet that our government doesn't believe can be fixed by throwing more money at it! Actually your comments are right on the money. We have so many systemic problems with public schools, particularly in the inner city and think we can fix them by building some new buildings. Frankly it's sad. Kids are going to grow up with the same dreams and aspirations as their parent, (no, I didn't forget the "s" they usually have only 1) nothing. No aspirations other than the proverbial free lunch.

Nice job Warren Civic Music.
Let's see, the secret is good concerts at a fair price? Very interesting, if not exactly inspirational!
