Unless a person is an officer no one knows the job it is physical as well as mental. It is hard on the families on both sides the ones who commit the crimes as well as the ones who wait for the officers to return home. The issue is an officer made a decision while involved in an altercation that could have ended with not only himself losing him life but others. Cory made bad decisions but he will have to deal with the consequences of his actions. We as officers put our lives on the line by choice, it hurts, no one wants to die but we face that possibility daily. Respect our choices we do it willingly. Family names are just that it is the common sense behind the badge that makes or breaks an officer.
