What a great decision by the mayor. I can't believe I just said that. This plan will only be successful if they actually follow through and reprimand and remove those that can't follow the rules. Just writing officers up and suspending them over and over isn't going to cut it. Keep everyone accountable and keep up the good work.
This is a great program and a great benefit to those kids that are enrolled. Not only will these kids be able to start their careers sooner, they've already either received an associates degree for free, or have at least half of their Bachelor's completed at no cost. Fantastic work.
So more resources had to be used to control the crowds? I'm going to assume that everyone must have been home on their lunch break at this time. What a joke...get jobs and get off the streets. Also..though its not all that crazy...I believe relations between a 20 year old adult and a 17 year old minor are considered illegal in the state of Ohio.
Glad to see the new mayor doesn't buy into the clever accounting this city employs to fool the people. A 125 operating surplus before a 900k interest payment is not a profit. Too bad they'll never find anyone stupid enough to buy that place.
"Boardman - A Great Place to Live". Actually folks, this is the next Youngstown. Continue on to Canfield, or be two steps a head and make your way down to Columbiana. Boardman has been steadily declining for years. Get out while your house can still be sold.
Glad that everyone there was able to take time off from their job on a Friday to protest an issue in Florida while everything in their own hometown is just splendid. Youngstown has their own murders or plenty of innocent teens every year. Stay off the bandwagon, get back to work, and worry about your own town first.
Work on running a clean restaurant with reasonably priced, decent tasting food next go around. The place was always filthy, always smelled of stale beer and grease, and when the restaurant was struggling, they raised the food prices for sub-par bar food. Not to mention they practically gave alcohol away with "all you can drink" nights. Try to keep the next place clean and please, clean the grease traps at the next location.
Don't forget you're no longer a statistic after your unemployment runs out, even if you have not found work yet. That at least attempt to be a bit more forthcoming with the numbers. Notice, 1,200 jobs added but 5,000 person decrease in those considered unemployed. So that leaves 3800 people unaccounted for, possibly moved like you mentioned, or hit the end of their unemployment and no longer counted.
I agree with TheDrone here. There's no way a 2 or 3 day difference is going to cost anyone their home. Also, utility companies must provide a 15 day notice and then a 48 hour notice prior to terminating services. So again, these two to three day deliveries will serve their purposes just fine. Jury notification? They give 30 to 60 day notice. There's no reason in today's age that mail needs to be offered 6 days a week.

Canfield lawmakers disagree on necessity of city worker raises
Clearly whoever created and maintains Canfield's website needs a raise. The IT Director should at least find someone competent.
