Sniffing out danger

That is so heartwarming. Rescue dogs are great, whether you adopt or provide fostering to the animals. I do and it is so rewarding helping them find their furever home and help them out of tough situations. So nice of you to share your story.

Another abused dog found shot, trashed on North Side

The protesters are right, until felony charges are enforced the demented animal abusers will continue. Soon they will move from animals if they havn't already. I don't understand the thrill hurting a harmless trusting animal which would be so easy to hurt. Just a disgusting human being, no excuse

Hundreds of wish lists for kids remain unfilled

I believe a lot about the above, but imagine putting a smile on that childs face. Many people abuse the system and use others too buy for their kids to boost what they give but for the child whose mom isnt the typical multi generational drug using family my gift is worth a lil struggle. These kids dont ask to be born into these families so they deserve one nice day, if you were one of these kids wouldnt others kindness show the true spirit of our God?

Hundreds of wish lists for kids remain unfilled

We saw tags today at McDonald's and grabbed one, then I browsed quickly threw them and saw a 12 year old and felt we should take her as well. We dont have much and we actually ran short, didnt realize our gas guzzler would be going to Alliance 3 days in a row but I took a few of our things back to the store and got the $20 from my moms cell phone so we are fine. I was given help years ago and we felt we should help. I know times are real hard but your help can make a huge impact on a child even if just one toy. We got them a few items and hope they get what we bought but I suppose if it is separated perhaps a few more smiles are given. God bless the work you do, paying it forward feels good. Merry Christmas....

Valley residents rally for stalled Nitro’s Law in Columbus

They have got to impose tougher laws to these vicious people. Pass Nitro's law so that can happen. There is no reason it should have taken 3 years already. As Obama says about his bills: "pass this bil, what are you waiting for?"

Jury hands up more indictments to Beemers, accused of raping their baby

I agree with CassAnn, hanging them while being stoned would not be justice enough. This little girls life was full of adult treachery all the way around. She is in Gods arms now and they deserve the devils justice for eternity of pain and sufferring. These types of crimes are sick and takes demented minds to this to anyone yet alone a little defenseless little girl or boy. Jailhouse justice would be to nice.

Campbell chief investigates police-dog incident

This is sad but not with costing the city more than a new coat and perhaps a real good way of keeping Storm under control, he could have truly hurt the little boy. Hope he doesnt fear dogs now either. Dogs are great companions.

Police defend K-9 in attack on 8-year-old

The officer in charge of the dog should have had him on a leash. I understand all the good he has done and will do but he is a trained dog who can injure someone intentional or not so control is important. My dog worries me when she darts out the door about biting someone, he was lucky to have his coat on. Please keep control it would be a shame for an honest mistake to affect him negatively anymore.

Mahoning Valley helps deep-six Issue 2

We lost but in reality all of Ohio did. Believe it or not Kasich is trying to look out for Ohio. You voters will vote him out and the new guy will start taxing us for everything and the economy will suffer so spending will decrease. Who cares about that as long as the union stays in tact, right? Enjoy your victory because you earned it and just wait when the shi* hits the fan. Like me or not I just understand where Kasich is coming from. He is far better than Strickland, he was the winner over him but he also thinks of ways to try and get our debt down and not increase us with additional taxes. Congrats and party it up.....
