Since 2003 she has divided her time between the U.S., Saudi Arabia and Egypt while working as a satellite writer, website and blog administrator for MAS Freedom (MASF), the civic and human rights advocacy entity and sister organization of the Muslim American Society. In January 2006 founded Muslimah Writers Alliance (MWA) and serves as its Director. Ms. Schwartz holds memberships in the National Association of Women Writers, National Association of Muslim Lawyers, Muslim American Journalists Association, and the Committee to Protect Journalists. She is also serves as a member of the Women's Islamic Initiative in Spirituality and Equity (WISE) steering committee. Additional projects include: SISTER AISHAH'S JOURNEY A site developed to provide information on Islam that also catalogs a series of articles written about her journeys since becoming Muslim in 2002.
