So, NOW You're Outraged? (Another Brick In The Wall)

*Plotz: explode, from overeating, from excitement, from anticipation. "If I eat one more piece of cheesecake, I'm going to plotz!" "You got us tickets for Barbra's come-back concert!? I'm plotzing!" (most likely comes from the same root as explode.)

Gimme That Ole Time Religion!

...and then, there's Tom Lamb....Tom called in today to update us on his health. Tom has epithelioid sarcoma, cancer. Last year,I wrote a blog: The Courage of the Lamb. Tom Lamb called in today. Tom had told me that he needed to give himself daily injections into his stomach. I shared a technique that I had learned from my aunt, a half a century ago. "Pinky" , who was a registered nurse, would have a gathering of the family, to give us all flu shots...and, a picnic. She would have the kids hold an ice cube, wrapped in a napkin, against out skin where she was to give the shot. Within a few minutes, the area became numb, and, if we didn't watch, we didn't feel the needle! Tom told me, today, that he uses that method every day and it's made the process much easier for him. My aunt was not a nice lady, well, not to me, but, now, on my way home, I'm going by to stone her grave. Thanks aunt CeCe.
