We all to to take this stand. If we do not we will lose our streets, cities, and country. Our ancestors did not hide, they took responsibility and pride in their streets, neighborhoods and nation.
DragonFly664, I also was born and raised in Campbell, family is there my church is there so I am there always. There was a time that this city and its residence took great pride in their home and its surroundings. When you open the floodgate doors to every section 8 renter this is what you end up with, people who live off the system have no regard for right and wrong. Read the memorial tribute sign left for the young man that was shot..this is what the police must deal with. I believe charging a rental fee for landlords is the first step, clean up the town by tearing down more vacant properties, form block watches, and ask the citizens of Campbell to become involved by taking pride in what they own, volunteer when asked, insist that their tax dollars, which are high, are used correctly. Demand accountability from the leaders of this community or vote them out...
Pass this! 100.00 per year will help deter slum lords from renting to just anyone and to keep their properties livable. Council needs to open their eyes to what is happening to that small town. As far as senior citizens go I am sure that would be happy if the property they work so hard to preserve and are proud of would be worth something. Clean it up before it is to late..
It was a great neighborhood when the people who live there had pride. When I take my mom to the festival each year we talk about how it used to be. I can see the sadness in her eyes.
The city council should be the next to go in Campbell, and not to be mean but I doubt the finance director can find his way out of a paper bag, let alone find results of the grant
Mayor Krinos needs to do whatever it takes to clean up this small town. I work and pay taxes to the City of Campbell and would love my money to go to city cleanup instead of babysitting the non contributing members of society. People need to become responsible for themselves and not always waiting for government to give them more .

City requires landlords to register properties
I think this is great way to make people more responsible for what they own.
Campbell should follow this plan.
