I have so much respect for anyone who is willing to give their talent, time and energy into entertaining our Valley. It is sad to think of the venues that have suffered financial failure and it is appalling that our energies are directed to ridicule and place bias judgment on others instead of supporting and commending all that is put into these performances. Easy Street has done amazing things for this community and has given hundreds of children the opportunity to perform. It delivers entertaining performances year after year by many talented people. I marvel at the voices, the choreography and the talent of so many young adults and children that adorn the stage. So many involved are so gifted and entertaining. Hats off to Maureen and Todd for all they do to make these shows happen. To even compare Easy Street and Oakland is pretty ridiculous. They are like apples and oranges, and that is wonderful gift to our community. We don't have much left locally in the arts and is time to embrace and support them so that these treasures are not lost. Giving honest reviews are one thing, THIS - is something else. Do we really think profits are so outlandish? I've been on that side of the stage production, sometimes you just pray to break even and that certainly isn't always the case. The expense of putting on a production like Easy Street is beyond anyone's imagination. Bravo to all this weekend!
