Home Depot’s policy on theft puzzles Boardman police

You guys are missing the point entirely. This isnt about the store's policy to not pursue. The COPS caught the guy. I think the store personnel have missed the intent of their own policy here. Why would it prohibit prosecution if the cops are invovled? No one from the store put themselves in harm's way.

Statewide drive to repeal SB 5 gets green light

Rather than name calling, would one of the anti-SB5 folks on here please provide a detailed plan as to how the state is supposed to pay for the pension and health care obligations? Thank you.

@timOthy:

What cult are you referring to? You should go back on your medication soon.

Next time you post, try using grammar and spelling that humans can understand.

Elderly man killed, wife wounded near South Side Annex

@lifes2short

2008 FBI Uniform Crime Report for cities between 60,000-100,000 people:

Murders per 100,000 people

1. 70.9 Camden, NJ
2. 51.2 Gary, IN
3. 39.8 Youngstown, OH

You can post links all day long that try to divert attention, but you are still faced with the overwhelming problems right here in Youngstown. Maybe the thugs can try harder and achieve a #2 or a #1.

Sherman proposal marked by questions, promises

Some food for thought:

1. “This company is clean as a whistle.” Only a politician could hear the points made in this article and utter those words.
2. "Carcelli said Sherman plans to use solar and wind energy to power the plant." A cold rolling mill of any size will have motors rated at 5000 HP or even bigger. The whole steel mill site will have to be covered with solar panels and windmills. What an outstanding use of buzzwords to get the public foaming at the mouth.
3. "The initial project would employ 700 people" I'll gladly give a reward to the first person that shows me a domestic cold-rolling mill that employs 700 people. Nucor has complete steel mills melting steel, casting, hot-rolling, cold rolling and processing with less than 700 people employed.
4. "Krinos admitted that Campbell has not done a thorough background check on Sherman." It's typical of the politicians to not want to dig too deep into a company's background. They're afraid that they'll find a company like Sherman.

Police target more in courthouse melee

@jermuh,

I wasn't planning on making a comment on this article until I read your ridiculous comments. It's obvious that you can't put together a sentence using proper grammar, punctuation or capitalization, but you also can't read very well. Justonevoice never said she had a child out of wedlock nor did she say anything about her circumstances regarding the child's father. It's obvious that you are a proud member of the subculture if you think a single mother working full time and not receiving public assistance is a failure. At least your post ended with some humor when you told that joke about those people in the courtroom working second or third shift. I'm still laughing.

Campbell land eyed as site for new mill

Sherman is a small engineering firm that is located in Pittsburgh but almost all of their references are for projects in China and India. I find it funny that they are quoted as saying “You have to compete with imports.” They are working almost exclusively for these companies that import.

The new Allegheny Ludlum hot strip mill planned for Brackenridge, PA is expected to cost over $1.1 Billion. Sherman is basically a used equipment dealer that buys equipment here and re-sells them to the countries such as China and India. They don't have nearly deep enough pockets to pull this off. Unless there are just enough government grants.....hmmmm....interesting.

Tablack receives 1-year contract

@could_it_be you make an excellent point. I just got a middle of the road Garmin for around a hundred bucks. My guess is the county couldn't use the inexpensive models because it would require county employees to figure out how to use the high tech windshield suction cup.
