Now hopefully the two newly elected trustees will put a greater importance on appropriately staffing the police department. Four years of embarassment will take some time to overcome.

"If it's large enuf for all those cops, don't u think we're gonna need to maintain the fire dept? No fire station in the whole southern end of the twp, only 8 on duty per day versus at LEAST 15-20 cops per day.
Get the facts before you puke you vomit all over this board."
It's amazing what the perception is in Boardman. There are currently only 5 patrolmen and 1 supervisor working a shift on any given day. Some days there may be one or two more depending on how the schedule falls but NEVER 15 to 20.
When the new contract is signed in, it will be even less. The police union agreed to ease the burden of minimum staffing to help the township's financial burden so there will only be 4 patrolmen and one supervisor handling the calls and patrolling in their "down time".
I suggest you get your facts straight like I did by talking to some of these police officers or fire fighters. They can't lie about it because it's all public record that can be verified.
I don't understand why she would sue Poland and the jail for doing what their job mandates. The article I read says that she had a warrant for her arrest. Once that warrant is confirmed (by Youngstown), then the officer has a legal obligation to arrest her. In turn, the jail must follow their procedures as far as searches, showers, whatever they do.
If the warrant was no good then it would be Youngstown City or Youngstown Municipal court to blame, not Poland or the jail.
I'm not in favor of Youngstown getting any more land than it currently has. However, IF what Jay is saying is true of V&M having to have the entire site "in Youngstown", isn't there a magic price or deal that Girard can work out that will benefit Girard for years to come?
It seems that Youngstown keeps expecting things to go their way. Why doesn't Ytown offer something that is lucrative and continuously beneficial to Girard?
Erie St. IS in Youngstown. It begins just south of the Covelli Center and runs completely through the south side of Youngstown. There's only a small portion of Erie St. that is in Boardman. Boardman's Erie St. starts at Indianola Rd. and ends at Meadowbrook Ave. Only 5 blocks long. I'm thinking this thug is likely from Youngstown, just visiting Boardman to spread his thug lifestyle.

Spoke too soon. I read the body of the report before the headline. Admitted mistake. Looks like this thug already migrated to the burbs.
My apologies jrolley.
