Valley princesses vie for glass slipper

This sounds so wonderful, how do I find out more information on this like when it is going to be next year, how much it costs and where it will be at so I can get some tickets for my Goddaughter. None of this was mentioned in the article.

Stan you really need to quit analyzing what people are saying you actually do a horrible job at it. I was trained to analyze and you obviously weren't. All I said was my weapon could have malfunctioned and if you know anything about M4's that kind of stuff happens all the time. Nothing you can do to prevent it since you have ammo on you at all times over there.

no I don't threaten just anyone. The military is not a place for discrimination, racisim or sexism as a hispanic female in the military I have come across it all. I fight for peoples rights, that is what we do in the military. EVERYONE'S right. Tomcat is just proving that he is a disgrace to the uniform that I wear every day.

ok Clayor are you completely retarded or have you been living under a rock for the past 70 some odd years? There are women in the military who fight along side men in the war. I happen to be one of them, I am home right now pregnant and taking care of my two year old. So good job on the assessment of who I am. I talked about my husband to make sure that it was known that I was a straight woman. So I will clarify, I am a straight, happily married woman and mother who is active duty Army and has been serving this country for the past 7 years. Anything else to say?

I only have one question for Stan, Rocco, and Tomcat.

How does two men or to women getting married affect you personally? I am not talking religiously affect you I mean personally. Would your homelife be affected if two men got married tomorrow?

Which by the way I have seen gay couples last 10 times longer than heterosexual marriages. I personally know a man who has been with the same man for over 16 years. Almost unheard of now with a more than 50% divorce rate in this country. So you think that gays are not for equality but they want more? Here is a scenerio for you. A man marries a woman, next day she is on his health insurance policy however that gay couple I talked about before who have been together longer can not have that same right? Or the lesbian couple that had been together for over 20 years, one of them was dying of terminal cancer and in an intensive care unit. Her family disowned her when she came out of the closet so her partner was the only family she had. However her partner could not go and visit her in the hospital because she was not considered a "family member". If I am not mistaken she died alone asking for her partner. You tell me that gays want more I am telling you all they want are equality.

I am also very glad that something like Stonewall opening in the Youngstown area. It was too long in coming. Way too many gays had to leave the area because of bigotry and intolerance. And Stan, Rocco, and Tomcat have proven that it was needed back then over and over again with their posts. Hopefully that time has come to an end.

I have been following this thread for some time now and it makes me so proud to hear all of the support that the gay community now has in my hometown and it has actually made me swell with pride and now when someone asks where I proudly say Youngstown, Ohio!!!

Special message for Tomcat -
If you really are in Iraq, I hope I never met up with you when I was there. Because if I had and known who you were I am not so sure my weapon wouldn't have malfunctioned and fired off a shot. My husband is still currently over there right now. So if you are...let's hope you don't meet up with him. Because that is an Infantryman who believes in tolerance and love. Not spreading lies and hate.

Plea deal would bring 4 months in jail for animal cruelty

Ok I think the ones that are defending Steve are missing one big fact... THE ANIMALS WERE DEAD...and not for a short amount of time either, they were in his backyard dead for a long period of time. Also if he was running a business wasn't it HIS responsibility to notify the owners of the dogs that were dead of that fact? He was negilgent in all of this. He does deserve to be punished and I believe he deserves more than 4 months in prison. If he was a RESPONSIBLE business owner, let alone person, he would have contacted the owners of the dogs immediately upon their demise and disposed of the remains properly instead of letting the corpses rot in his backyard. I think that is the most dispicable part of all of this. He let those poor animals rot in his backyard without doing anything about it. Just let them sit there. So go ahead Katie and others, defend him all you want but in MY OPINION he deserves everything he gets however 4 months is not enough time and neither is 5 years of not owning an animal.
