Ypboy.....unfortunately some of us have gone through experiences with bad management/ supervision that union involvement would have helped tremendously. Until business recognizes that there are times, even when it's rare, that managers/ supervisors do not always walk on water, people will and need union representation. I'm sorry, but I've seen too much "blind" faith in supervisors to ever trust a company's administration.
dawn421....all I can comment to is what I went through. I never got unemployment, went through EEOC, attorney(s) and went 18 months with NOTHING! Unfortunately "at will" means they CAN fire you for BS. Unless your civil rights have been violated or you have enough$$ to try and fight, chances are slim.
Let Home Depot know how you feel! It's about the best he can hope for. Being an "at will" employee in Ohio means you are screwed! No unemployment, no nothing. He was fired. I've have recently been down this road and there is very little to be done. To all of you "anti-union" folks...it's like this...when you have bad management/ supervision, a little union goes a long way. I went through 18 months of hell. Good luck to you Mr. Torres!
You have to wonder where Sheriff Wellington's head was back then? Budd was a realatively inexperienced police officer in general. very little time on the job, yet promoted to such a position! Who's really at fault here?
Rodney Lewis is a tuff police officer. A good police officer. Unfortunately society has evolved to the point where respect for a police officer is non existant by so many individuals. Frankly, I think if an officer cracks someones head on occasion, people would think twice. Spit in my face and see what happens! Just ignorant!
Tip of the iceberg folks, tip of the iceberg! It's just a matter of time before Betrus is named in some other issue that will be another blemish on the Mahoning Valley! Get him out!!
Mooney prevails again! For those of you stating if it had happened elsewhere things would have turned out different....you are correct! For the others stating "it's no big deal"....shame on you! What kind of example are you setting? I'm not saying someone should have gone to jail, but think about it....those attitudes are what lead to trouble years later. Kids into trouble with drugs, etc. All because earlier....it was no big deal.

Café at Wittenauer’s adds to Poland's growing rep for home-grown eateries
Just be warned.....go a mile or two over the speed limit and your meal could get pricy!! I'd avoid it and go elsewhere.

Unemployment aid applications near 4-year low
It could also mean people do not qualify for unemployment compensation and are still out of work. How about a reality check?
