Times have changed. Players used to work in the summer to have some money during the school year. Many also worked during Christmas but the 24/7 commitment to the sport changed that. The summer job was how you purchased the things you needed. Now players are supporting parents. Wow
Stop the mess and create jobs in the community. That is the major cause of crime, youngsters hanging around with nothing to do. No hopes, dreams or aspirations. Get the families, neighborhoods, education, and jobs in line. Crime will decline.
Congrats to the inductees of the 2011 class. Also congrats to Big Mike and his family. I was unaware of his passing. I had the honor of competing against him in high school and later at Notre Dame.
Come on Stan. If this is the person who committed the crime, I am sure that everyone wants justice. People stop making it an issue of color. In your post you speak of this fictional place called the hood where everyone applauds criminals. Wake up!! It's a senseless crime and makes me cringe whenever I think that our parents aren't safe when going to church. However it sounds like their isn't solid evidence. We all want justice and safe neighborhoods. Regardless of color.
Is Kelly not focused? was he not ready for the fight and it was a way to save face? I know the money isn't what it was for his previous fights. I agree that Loew has established himself as a trainer. I hope that Pavlik can re focus because he still has opportunites. Regardless we are proud of you Kelly and thank you for representing the Valley.
True it's sad to see the city and it's surrounding area having racial issues. It's all related to economic conditions. We have to get people working and in school. However the problems at the mall is the result of kids not having anywhere to go. Nothing constructive to do. We are all looking for someone to point fingers at.This area is racially divided and will always be. That's why the area is in the situation that it is in.
