What does this incident have to do with housing projects? I grew up in the "projects" as have many other people that are decent and hard working. We have jobs and families and have never killed anyone. So are you saying that rich folks from the "burbs" never make unreasonable decisions or kill people? You sir need to avoid stereotyping.

"Students took to social media, complaining about classes in buildings without heat when the temperature is so low." There was a power failure, deal with it. You are all young adults or adults. Put on a coat. If that does not do it then go home. What did you want YSU to do, set fires in the buildings?

This is why I'm against having dental procedures like that done in a dentists office. Procedures of that magnitude should be performed in a hospital OR.

Correction to above comment. I meant to say BRT was advertising for another extrusion supervisor. My apologies

I used to work for this company and I'm not surprised. 28,000 for an accident that cost a life is a joke in my opinion. 7 figures would be appropriate. And you hit it on the head billdog1, had he complained he would have been let go. All BRT cares about is profit, employee conditions are way down the priority list. And what about the supervisor that put the extrusion press on automatic mode and not inform the press operator? I did see not long after the incident BRT was advertising for another operator.

I'm sure he's missed by someone. Nobody wins in a homicide.

I agree. $25K sounds like a personal injury amount. Loss of life IMO should be 7-8 figures.

NilesOhio this is so true. There has to be a willingness to learn. I don't care how good a teacher is, or how many books and supplies are provided. If a kid has no desire to learn then it won't happen. I work at a store in the ghetto and these kids can't even do simple math and they are in the store at all times of the day. So some are not even attending school and others are roaming the streets when they should be home studying or getting ready for bed. They all want to blame the system for low test scores and you're right. Good behavior starts at home and in many cases the kids have poor role models.

We don't have to hunt for food anymore. Why couldn't the geese have been relocated? As far as the feeding goes, I agree, they shouldn't be fed but it seems today people are just ignorant and don't read signs or if they do they just don't care to follow directions.
