Warren Ohio does not have to worry about legal issues if the laws on the books in these cities were put into the law here in Warren. Mr. Hicks seems to be overly worried about law suits. Those cities previously mentioned have no problems at all. So why the wait?
The women in these places are usually there because they need the money to send back to their often impoverished families back in Korea or other Eastern countries. These women who work in the spas are not there because they want to. Oriental culture devalues women as their policies of abortion of unborn females is in place in most of the Eastern world. So using the allowed to be born females as money generators is often practiced.
The sex trade is alive and well in Warren Ohio.....for now.
I salute the MVOC and their efforts to rid Warren of the reputation of being the city of "Happy Endings".
It is obvious that prostitution is going on at these so called businesses. Cleveland, Ashtabula, Elryia and many cities around the country have laws on the books to shut down these whore houses. Not one problem legally. And yet Warren Ohio seems to have a problem with making sure that what they do is legal.
Just pass the same damn legislation that those other cities did. Are the leaders in Warren stupid? Or maybe they are making too much money from pay offs from the whore house owners?
How hard is it to have an undercover officer go into these places and get evidence? Not too hard......it would not take months or years but just one time......the offer of sex and then shut them down. Period.
And what about the newspapers who allow advertising for illegal activity? Plain Dealer.....Akron Beacon Journal......maybe they should be prosecuted for being an accessory.
Is there not one leader in Warren with the GUTS to do what everyone knows needs to be done?

As far as I can tell, prostitution is still a crime and that is what is going on in these places. You cannot convince anyone that prostitution is not going on in these places as they are a known place for that activity.
