Ursuline ousted | Kirtland rallies from 24 down

Sounds like someone is a SORE LOSER!!! I can remember in games past when the mighty Ursline team did the same thing late hits, helment to helment hits in fact one game comes to mind where they put three players of the team they were playing in the hospital, one with a concussion and one with brused kidneys. But that was alright they can do nothing wrong. I don't understand how a team with a 8-2record gets to the playoffs while teams with 9-1 don't make it. Oh i forgot they play a so-called tougher schedule. Playing them is like playing cards where the other player as all the face cards and the higher number cards and all you have are the cards 1-8 whose going to win???

Ursuline begins quest for 3-peat with win

to irishmike.
Sure football is a contact sport, I know that but explan to me how a team can play 10 games witout any of the players having to leave the game and needing to go to the hospital and yet they play in one game and 3 players get injured in such a way they have to leave they game and go to the hospital, one with a concusion ??????? I don't think it's because they had not been hit hard before, I think it was HOW they were hit. And if I'm not mistaken three Mooney players were also injured and had to go to hospital.

Ursuline begins quest for 3-peat with win

Parochial schools such as UHC, MHS , or any other priv. shool playing in in regular div. is like two people playing cards. If one is dealt all aces, and face cards and the other one plays with is left in the deck who will win. Parochial and priv. schools should have their div. to play in. Whats to stop a parochial or priv school from stopping their "recruitment" or accepting students to keep enrollment down so they can play in a lower div.??

Amen to that. They seem to think it is good sportsmanship and great when they put players out of they game and send them to the hospital, one with a concusion! not once did I see their fans , the tem and or coaches acknowdelge that the player that had just been injured by a helmet to helmet hit or a hit in the back when he got up and was able to walk off the field with help although he had to be helped off. If that is the only way the can win I feel sorry for them, of coarse they only play the way they are taught.

Clarifying recruitment issue as Catholic Schools Week opens

I have 2 questions 1) does the schools uphold a strong academic standred where a student is required to maintain a certain GPA to continue to participate in the sport and 2) does or has a school ever miss stated their enrollment so they are put in a lower bracket (region) as set up by the OHSAA ( ie placed in a lower bracket) so they can play easier schools?
