Well, for what it's worth, I agree absoluitely wholeheartedly with EVERYTHING Arlia says.I have been following this discussion. And want to add my voice to those who are speaking out for the animals who can no longer defend themselves.Has anyone here actually sat and closed their eyes and imagined what it feels like to be hungry and thirsty?I believe many of you have. But many others, probably have not.You talk here of giving toys to poor children. Hopefully these same children have never felt exactly what it feels like to have an empty belly and to be so parched that it hurts to open their mouth. The sheer physical pain that goes with the hollowness of the guts and stomach after 1, 2, 3 days, nay WEEKS, of starvation...I don't wish to be any more graphic than that as this will cut through the heart of those who lost a child in fur at the hands of this excuse for a human being. But please - just put yourself in the place of those dogs - as someone else said, living breathing feeling creatures. All part of God's creation, as indeed are we.My hope for the dogs is that they didn't suffer too long. But judging from some of the photos, I believe that at least some of them, suffered agonies.HOW can anyone who believes themself to be humane, give the excuse that the Rescuers should not have gone straight in there and done what they could to prevent even more suffering??How can you believe that a Law that allows dogs to die, can be a GOOD Law??
These dogs had a right to food and water and shelter. These are BASIC rights. This "man" denied them those rights, deliberately and knowingly. He was fully aware of what he was doing/not doing. Why are so many of you defending HIM????
