Belinky has violated the Code of Judicial Conduct and clearly can't conduct his own affairs and is he overseeing the affairs of others?
Why hasn't the Ohio Supreme Court removed Belinky from the bench? What are they waiting for?

Belinky won't make it to the end of his term but that does not help Maruca. Kasich will appoint a Republican who will hold the seat with the help of Betras.

Kitchens answer is ridiculous, if the information is public record (and you have nothing to hide) lets see it!
Bad reporting on McNally's answer, he very carefully said he was not a federal target over the Oakhill matter, not that he's not a federal target over anything else, what's McNally hiding???

Let's lay out the plan:
1. Accuse Kitchen of sexual harassment2. Make sure the investigation does not end before the election3. No matter who wins on election day, Board of Fixed elections ensures McNally wins4. The excuse for what seems to be low turnout in black wards is the harassment charges5. Power brokers get their candidate in office6. FBI continues to investigate with their eyes closed7. Things are back to normal in Youngstown

With all of the investigations going on, and a race war about to erupt, the party leaders should call a meeting of the Central Committee to remove Betras as Chairman and settle things down.
You would think that before this effects his business and family Betras would want to take the high road and resign, why would he want to continue?
For power? Power over what? Mahoning County? LOL!!!

Are you trying to convince yourself or the feds, because indictments ARE coming.
1. The feds have a history of taking over cases where they have more evidence and or can bring charges that have greater penalties.
2. Do you really think you know who had what evidence first? You don't.
3. The idiots here in the Valley, even though everyone has known there is an on going investigation, have kept breaking the law. These people are like the gift that keeps on giving and giving.
I do have to agree with you on one point, Bert is an idiot. He's talking to the people committing the crimes and asking them what they know. It's pathetic and he should be shown the door by the Vindicator when this is over.

The state charges did not stick because the feds wouldn't share their evidence with the state, not because there isn't a case.
FYI, the FBI has visited the Board of Fixed Elections at lease twice in the past year taking documents with them. Do you think they did that for nothing? I don't.

The Kernal is getting a demotion! There WILL be indictments and it goes far beyond Oakhill.
Elected office holders, many of their staff, attorneys including a famous party chairman, Judges, many people at the Board of Fixed Elections, the list goes on and on of who could be indicted in the next few weeks.
And since county government is so tainted it's a good thing they will all go to federal court and be convicted there. Of course many will roll over like Lisa and just plead guilty (as they should).
The real problem for the feds is how to round up these people and process them all at the same time.
If you belong to one of the fore mentioned groups and see a caravan of black vans driving around town, start running!!!

What a wonderful position we find ourselves in! It could also be viewed as a reflection of our city, and the fact that no one cares what happens to Youngstown.
But why, where are our community leaders? Why is there bad, worse and out of jail to choose from for the future leader of our city? It is a sad state of affairs in Youngstown and we deserve to be on that buzzfeed list.
Yesterday the local unions endorsed McNally. Do they really believe he is the man to bring new jobs and development to Youngstown? Now McNally is beholden to them and for what, 10% of the vote? Yes folks, unions represent only 10% of workers in Mahoning County (even less in the city). But the unions like to use perception instead of reality and force candidates to go before them for meaning less endorsements that give them pull with a candidate after they are elected. Did the unions ask McNally if he's still under investigation by the feds? They probably didn't want to go there, anyone wonder why?
Then we have the African American faction that is for Kitchen. The “leaders” of this community have been trying to force Betras to run a black candidate countywide since he became chairman. Here's some simple math, 85% of Mahoning County is white, the other 15% is a mix of minorities. Does this need further explanation? Jay Williams had the opportunity to move Youngstown in a new direction, instead he used the opportunity we gave him to help himself instead. Does anyone believe Kitchen will go after others to pays their tax bills when he doesn't himself? When the city runs out of money what happens then?
Youngstown needs dramatic change. A true leader that is willing to fight the status quo, clean up the neighborhoods, reform the schools, and be pro business needs to be found and elected. If we continue on the course we're on the city and region is doomed.
