Downtown Youngstown's ups & downs

Sarasota Fl. Offers FREE curb parking downtown to promote business and encourage customers to come to downtown Sarasota. Youngstown tries to support itself with parking violations. Maybe the city should think about it. Just my opinion.

Campbell police, city being sued for police dog bite

Wow!!! Sure didn't see this one coming. Campbell should maybe consider retro training for both officer and K9. K9's are wonderful if they can be controlled. If they fail, they have no place in police work.

Concealed-carry classes, permits on rise in Valley

Guns and ammo will never be gone. The BLACK MARKET will prevail.
My problem with the carry class is that it does not make you continue to train. Or RE-Qualify. Police officers re-qualify every 6 months or yearly. They are only permitted to carry the weapon they qualify with. If a person cannot dedicate themselves to that routine. They should NOT carry. They will end up hurt or worse. The state should mandate the same training as law enforcement.

Youngstown commission rejects downtown tattoo parlor

Contact the ACLU. Talk about hindering free
enterprise. Youngstown should be happy to
draw hide traders if they would come in. Its called
a probationary waivor. After 90-120 days if there
are no problems, grant the waivor. Wow! Youngstown.

Lawbreakers will pay $40 jail reception fee in Mahoning County

I commend Sheriff Greene for his approach. It is high time that the criminals start spending their own money.

They should be given jobs to do in and outside. Paid a minimum wage for their work. Then whatever expenses there are such as trial, fines, victims, etc. Take the money from what they earn. When everything is paid off. They can go home. Oh, and don't forget the good 'ol taxes that we all pay. Bet they never return to jail again. And look at the money the taxpayer saves.

Keep up the good work Greene.

Gerberry re-introduces Nitro's bill, animal protection measure

I am the recipient of a rescue dog. This law MUST be passed and breeders and owners alike held accountable for their pets. Thank you Mr. Gerberry for taking a stand.

Shooting in shadow of YSU

Why was the perp not charged with attempted murder?? Then it would be reduced to felonious assult. What will it be reduced to now?? Discharging a firearm within city limits. Our judicial system is the problem. Not the cure!
