Just for reference, Betras is right about the residual budgeting, we've seen it happen before, but mr.skolnick, would you please look into and exploit the truth of if this will make illegal 501c(3) type charity gambling. this will ruin church bingo's and such. I believe the issue will, but am not 100% certain.
Could it be because absolutely no one heard about this meeting. Here's a news flash. The Majority of Austintown voters are against the bond issue. The only candidate who has spoken out against the bond issue, and levies in general is the 19 year old Bill Klein. Common sense sure comes in small packages
Anybody who looks at the fate of Youngstown and utters the words dead, dying, or pathetic is in a Republican state of mind. As Democrats, we look to the future to measure ourselves, not the past. Republicans think America is getting better because of actions in our past. Democrats plan for the future. Men like J.F.K and President Obama have inspired generations not by focusing on our current woes, but instead on our bright and shining future. Youngstown is on the brink of an expansion; an expansion that will bring hundreds of middle-class, blue-collar jobs to this area, jobs this area was fundamentally built on. Another democrat mindset. KEEP JOBS IN AMERICA! We need these jobs. This company can go anywhere they want and they chose Youngstown. We must do whatever it takes to keep them here. I know this isn't going to bring back the steel mills, and nothing happens overnight. President Obama cant fix this country in one day. But like JFK said "let us begin." Our high noon is on the horizon, we need to work together to bring that money to tjis area. It will flood into the businesses and housing markets of both cities anyway.
The answer to the question is a flat out NO! Youngstown needs all the revenue we can get, what we hope that Attorney Betras will promote to his party and to the elected officials is that Youngstown should get there own casino to increase our city revenues here. IT would be a dream to build up Youngstown with a renovative casino. I'm voting no until the amendment will allow us to put on closer to home, bring jobs here, with a casino, restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues all will build up around. I and Attorney Betras share the same common notion that we will not accept that Youngstown's best days are behind us, and I hope he continues to fight for the working people of our valley.
hey clayor, thanks for the support bud, im hoping jimbo will run cafaro and his cronies out of our government. jim deserves his dignity restored, with time, and the wrong media image, he has been ruined.
all you people who would not embrace jim are absolute morons, for one, jim stood up when the steel mills closed, and refused to kick people out of their houses. FACT. 2, there was no evidence presented at his case that was not later said to have been either threatened, or coerced by the FBI. FACT, and 3, he was removed to cleveland so he would have no jury of his peers. FACT. he stood up for the valley. FACT he was eccentric, but helpful. FACT, and to top all that off, his judge had a conflict of interest and should have removed herself because her husband was on the prosecuting team. FACT. show me one fact that he is guilty, just one, and do some research of your own before you open up your mouths and discredit a man who tried to stick it to the man. You wonder why we are so in debt to china?!?! thank the one person he stood up to, Janet Reno, guilty of treason for taking chinese money, FACT, he should be pardoned, and really clean up our government FACT

we don't need traficant to go away, we need him in office again. show me one scrap of evidence where he is guilty, i will show u three scraps showing the conspiracy to implicate him. I personally know people who's lives were threatened to testify against him. he got no fair trial, thats for sure, look at the facts, the judges husband was on the prosecuting team, she should have removed herself for conflict of interest. he was not allowed to present his case. in anyone who is smarts eyes, yes, he was eccentric, but he did a lot of good for this area, and he spoke the truth, and that will ruin you in politics. Lets get antonini and the cafaro crooks run out of town before we go on trying to re-incriminate an innocent man who stood up to those crooks
Im seriously considering running for precinct committeeman, on the ticket that i hate lisa antonini, and all cafaro cronies, i think say no to cafaro should make a good slogan, how do i find out who mine is? and register to run?
first of all, to the man who accused the local democrat friends of welcoming jim home, go screw yourself further than the republicans have bud, the fact is, neither party ever accepted jim, but he voted with the republicans more than the democrats, second, jim is not corrupt, the judicial system that got him was, do your research, he was removed from the valley for trial (no jury by peers) jj cafaro perjured himself (served no time) others were threatened by the FBI, (evidence was withheld from court) the jury was made up of people who the FBI had something against, and the judges' husband was a prosecuting attorney in the case (judge should have removed herself from the bench for conflict of interest) he was not allowed to present his evidence, never did anything any other politician is not guilty of, the problem was, he was unbribable, cafaro tried, and failed, yet you idiots continue to vote cafaro-backed politicians to your corrupt offices, you gave corruption to this area, and jim will run it out again
