Sitting on the outside of these arguments makes it very interesting to see both sides. From what I hear from the area it seems there is part blame on both sides, however, noone has mentioned that the student-athlete's parents in Canfield have to pay the school in order for their children to participate in athletics. Doesn't this give the parents a vested interest in their child's playing time, position and placement besides a parent's desire to see their child just participate for the love of the game? I for one have been in the stands for a Canfield softball games and can say that their fans conduct was less than desireable to say the least. I am curious to see how the new coach will handle these situations going forward. My guess is that behavior will not change just because a new leader is in place. Give it time and we will see where this all goes. I also heard that the board lied to the new coach and is giving him one less coach than promised, any truth to this?
