PAYING MORE,, GETTING LESS with government involved? You can count on it. First step Loree says:"establish a board" More gov. positions? Western Reserve Port Authority was dissolved in June 2014 for total disarray. Reformed and already had conflict with 1 new member as in JOHN BOCCIERI and his voting rights on some projects. Seems he just left gov. office in congress, and now appears in a new position at tax payer expense. The director of the WRPA according to Vindy Sept. 2014, collects $88,000 salary,Boccieri in the $20's and the list goes on, all at tax payer expense. If they have all of this expenditures and money to lend, sounds like they are collecting TOO much.

The answer is in the story. Why does a city entity, funded with taxpayer money to run the government of the city, involved with owning a $2.3 M dollar farm? If they did not sell the mineral rights when the whole rest of the county residents that could, took the money and straight to the bank or if they did sell, where is this money accounted.Time for government to go back and do what they are expected and get out of all these projects on a whim that "this is a good idea", but someone took the money and ran! THE leaders always want to go back to the well (TAXPAYER) and want more. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

In summary, Mahoning county needed more tax and got it, law enforcement needed and received , schools need more money from tax, got it , still need more, state needs more and will get it, OBAMA wants new taxes after last years health tax, THEY ALL GOT IT! and now they are upset because they each want more and feel some other entity is there first to upset the next increase they need. SALES TAX is based on selling and price. EVERY product price increase is an automatic increase in tax revenue. Officials claim the economy is booming and car sales are exploding, sounds like tax money should be pouring in, but controllers say they are all broke. Then of course there is government waste, fraud, unsupervised expenses, theft and on and on. THE bottom line,, the taxpayer is getting ripped off and doing nothing to stop all of the corruption and not understanding the system is out of control. Time for PEOPLE to take back control of leadership and make them accountable to us and not us to them!

by the logic that is being displayed, walking and talking should be banned, if your brain is not capable of handling more than 1 function at a time,, you are right, classify them as an idiot. As far as the results of the studies, the study was determined as cell phone use, and did not separate text from talking, the law states texting, police say my word against your word which is a defense in any case!

INCOMPETENCE , that does not even come close to what government is all about! They take $75M for the right of a business to relocate a racino, then don't want to use the money to pay for its purpose. IN the private sector, it would be called theft by deception, but in government, it is status quo, take the money by any means, then it disappears into bureaucracy waste. If this had not been settled before the completion, then those in charge should be accountable and that would be the committee of government regulators as stated, they demanded seats and stalls, so they had the command post. TOO LATE after the fact!

No sign of negligence?? Tell that to the sewer line collapse and KALOSKY! Fees are paid by customers to maintain city owned utilities, they never hesitate to raise the rates and state they own the lines on tap in fees, but when it comes to problems, the government figures that is your problem. Even if the homeowner would have positively known the line was going to collapse, would the city let him repair it before it would cause damage?? I THINK NOT!Put me on that jury, the city not only would pay, but also punitive damages for the loss of value on the home as the city does not maintain its systems in operating condition, the problem was not on KALOSKY's property, the city owns it! The main line has not collapsed before or somewhere else, so it is improper oversight on maintenance check up which is the CITY'S responsibility.

Typical overlook of those in charge. Sounds like the program (HOPE) . may just be the place to get an inside outlook on those that may be an eventual problem area. If this were a perfect world, input such as this would not be needed, but IT IS NOT! Face it, people are thinking independent of their own objectives and methods all of the time, and if one situation is presented that has not come to mind, this may help in a future situation, but NO, the officials in charge figure, out of mind out of problem, but the problems of today show this theory is incorrect. I understand what the teacher was requesting, although unless you knew what the mental attitude of that student and intentions were, it is still under the constitutional right of the student to write about his topic as his wishes, or as is now occurring everywhere, governmental takedown allows only what they deem appropriate . and AS anyone can watch and wonder why this USA is becoming so screwed up under the policies of the controllers in charge!

that's easy,, read the article, boy gets hurt by beating and put under taxpayer care and the local system just made $300 plus court costs which were already covered by the taxpayer. Another one of those tax deals no one realizes when they vote and get a sales tax to cover the justice system and still collect on court costs, I thought that was part of the justice system.

EVERY tax will re-appear on the ballot until it gets passed. As time progresses, government entities always need more money, think about it! EVENTUALLY , the government will take 100 % and demand more. Sales tax are based on product prices, as prices go up, the revenue collected automatically increases and the taxpayer gets hit with inflation and higher taxes,,, good luck when the sources get to the point of NO return,, Oregon pays the highest now,,, think on this,, they pay 58% of their wages in taxes, and the government wants more. SOUND like it is worth working and giving over half away, and still get charged when government services are needed?

Of course it is political, the enforcement group were standing by just to disrupt the opening. Government duties are to serve and protect, in this case it was harassment. They knew the opening date was set, officials could have re-notified what was needed before the opening, but NO,, they decided to make a grandstand appearance and then laugh about it on a $4M project. THINK it is funny? Time for the average person to take note and vote these government controllers jokesters out of office and get back to where the community works together. Government telling the racino how many horse stalls and seating where required on something that has not even opened, when every government program fails and cannot control itself and now wants its hands in private business, but sure have their hands out in collecting and wasting the money that comes from the sources in taxes!!
