Reduction plan poses serious safety issue, fire official tells Youngstown mayor

First Knightcap, tug your tinfoil hat a little tighter. Your meds seem to be fading. This chief has been doing whatever the city has told him to do for years with no concern for his men or the department. Whatever he needs to do to keep his job. He has forced wage freeze after wage freeze and concession after concession onto his men while taking none himself. If people like good old broken records like Knightcap would try to find out what they are talking about first. The members of that department have done plenty to save what manpower they can. I remeber it wasn't that long ago there were 200 plus on that department with stations all over the city. This department has shrunk in size while city council remains the same and get a raise every year. So Knightcap step up the meds pull the tinfoil hat a little tighter and know what you are talking about first.

Youngstown firefighters concerned about plan to eliminate fire truck

Your chief has been selling you all down the river for years. He will do whatever it takes to keep his job. I'm told the firefighters have taken wage freeE after wage freeze all the while the chief hasn't taken one. Never trust management.
