Officials tout Austintown racino's benefits at hearing

They say the benefits would help the valley, well what would they say if families separate because a loved one gambles. Gambling is addictive and has no place in the valley. Besides our area turned down the chance to open one before, why should we allow them to open one up now and go against the voice of the people.

Youngstown pastor wants to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with thieves

Many of you don't realize the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He can will will change lives. I for one have changed. I no longer drink nor smoke. Now I know some of you may be skeptic of this, but when you drink for 20 some years and smoke for 28 years and quit cold turkey without any repercussions. God was and is behind all that I do and I support what this pastor wants to do. People that do crimes need to be told about Jesus and His forgiving Grace !!!

Youngstown Sports Grille to close Saturday

Thats not a bad idea, but in all due respect, I doubt they would consider it because of the high crime in the area. Too many businesses have shuttered their doors and I doubt we have seen the last of it. Thats sad because I grew up in the area and it has fallen on hard times!!!

Mahoning County voters fuel WRTA with county sales tax

I will wait and see if wrta will restore the routes they had cancelled. If the people in office for this service would stop lining their own pockets with the extra cash we would not have been having this problem. I am glad the levy passed , not for your sake but for the people in mahoning county, Now live up to it. And by the way, give back them raises which you folks did not deserve.

What should churches do with people who admit they are gay or lesbian and want to join their congregations?

The right wing coalition likes to put out that they do not judge yet they do. These churches who say its wrong to be GAY or LESBIAN should look up Luke 6:37, about judging others and condemning us. Then maybe if they were perfect creatures they would understand that we are all created in the image of God. God intended for us to be Gay. Studies have been performed time and again proving this yet the rightwingers debunk it, well lets just say they are no more right in interpreting the word of God. God loves us all just as we are.
