This story is bothersome, not only b/c of what happened, but for the lack of action (once again) on the part of the dog warden. I have called them several times due to my neighbors owning a whopping 9 dogs and acting as a foster for a shelter and the warden will do NOTHING. Nice that I pay them every year to license me dog. I hope the beagle and owner in the story are okay. Someone seriously needs to get off their arse and do their job.
Why yes, I did cancel my print subscription. Didn't know someone would care so much. But yes, the entertainment left MUCH to be desired. The music band was awful and the dancers ought to have covered up because it was downright appalling to look at. From "woman to woman"......
@arod......they had it at that Shepard Storage place on South Ave last year and it was WAY better. Much too crowded at the Covelli, could barely move. Definitely need to move it back to Boardman and oh, please leave the belly dancers out next time. Yech!
haylett....same thing, I saw the bike but nothing else. I drove past after the firetruck showed up and by the demeanor of the emergency crews on scene, I don't think anyone could have helped him. I'm haunted by the whole thing.
Why not just let the reader submit their own true love story??? The proposed stories have been absolutely awful the past couple of years......kinda hard to write a follow-up to a crappy story to begin with. Vindy REALLY needs to come up with some new ideas to keep the general public interested b/c at this point the paper sucks. Cancelling my scrip once again.
This whole case just breaks my heart. I'm a mother of two young children. I cannot imagine ever having to deal with either party's stance in this horrific event later on in either of my kids' lives. To totalnonsense....people in the area are glued to this case because of how bizarre the occurrance was. Things like this don't happen in daily life. And you HAVE to understand that a lot of the posters on here post ignorant things just to push buttons. Don't take to heart.
Personally, I think there is a lot more to this story than is being told, or will ever be told, and that's the sad part. If I were Culp's parents, sick as it is of me to say, I'd want a blow by blow account of what happened. And if I was Burke's mother/parents, I'd want the God's honest truth. Neither is going to come out of this so all I can do is let friends and family of each know I've said a prayer for them to stay strong and that one day things will get a little easier.
