i have to tell you your argument that wal-mart provides tangible product and Vegas is a sewer of prostitution id rediculas. i personally lived in Vegas and found no difference in the number of prostiutes between here and there (only difference is in Vegas they are in the phone book because prostitution is legal....not because gambling is legal). also no company has done more damage to the US economy then wal-mart (who is the number one land owner in the country by the way) by immoral business practices allowing them to steal away many small manufacturing companies. in vegas problem gambling wasnt a huge problem. in vegas there was not more drinking and driving. and also a casino job will be much more than $10-12 an hour because almost every job is essentially a minimum wage job where you live off your tips.....tips generate 4 times more money than your salary or more.....i made over $35,000 as a dealer my first year and was paid $6 an hour....you do the math.....and lastly Vegas is an amazing place to raise a family, with so much tax money in the city coffer's businesses that don't associate with gambling (like the zoo and the monsterous perfectly maintained parks) get huge tax breaks over what a similer business would in the mahoning valley. truth is if you dont gamble all you would notice is an increase in your standard of living
